This is a pretty typical need! We did our very best to put texting plans together that would be affordable, but we also want to be adaptable to your ministry's needs!
Before you consider spending more money on additional keywords (they are not cheap), here is one way to work around the limited number that you may have in your plan:
The only function of a keyword is to add them to your list of contacts.
Once they are on your list, you can organize them in groups in your contact list depending on what information you need to communicate to them.
Now that they are in the right list, you can send out texts to them whenever you need... no keyword needed!
Because you can change your keyword at any time, think of the # of keywords you have in your plan as a # of keyword “slots.”
Here is an example to help you understand the concept of keyword "slots":
You can fill a "slot" one week with the keyword "BAPTISM" and have people join that week to get info about baptism (text BAPTISM to 95577).
Once they have joined, you now can add all the people that joined during that week to a list called "baptism."
Now you can text that list all you want without having to keep the keyword "BAPTISM."
Then the next week you can switch out that keyword (BAPTISM) for another keyword (SMALLGROUPS) so you can have people sign up if they are interested in getting info about small groups.
If you have additional questions, or want to purchase keywords, let us know!
