It can be very confusing when you go to your DYM texting account and see less texts there then when you last left it! Did someone steal them? Did a junior higher hack into your account and send texts to all her friends 10,000 times? All things are possible, but we are pretty sure there may be something else going on.
Credits are used for a mix of things. Any time a text message is sent that you program, it counts as a "credit" being used.
If you send 10 texts out to 10 students... that's 100 texts sent.
This includes auto-response texts.
That means that keyword signups, auto-responses (that you program) to texts you send out, and actual texts that you send... are all included in your use of text "credits."
* It seems lame that auto-responses count as text messages because you usually aren't aware of those texts being sent and therefore it feels like someone is "stealing" credits from your account... but unfortunately we don't have control over that. It's the same with any SMS texting service. The good news is that those keyword auto-responses will only happen once since they only have to sign up once.
Also remember, monthly credits will NOT roll over... so make sure you use the credits that you are issued each month because at the end of that "pay period" (depending on when you signed up) the remaining credits will expire and you start with a fresh 150 at the beginning of that next "pay period".
* The only exception to this is if you purchase a yearly plan.
