Submission Review

A team will review each submission asking, “Could I see this being used in our youth ministry?” Resources that are formatted according to submission guidelines, free from potential copyright issues, and a great match for the DYM store will be accepted to move forward in our editorial process.

Editorial Process

Each submission is reviewed by our team to ensure everything top notch for the end-user! At any time during this process, we may contact you with requests for things like spelling/grammar fixes, content adjustments, and graphics changes.

What Timeline Can I Expect?

We’re incredibly grateful that so many youth workers trust DYM for their programming—and that so many of you want to contribute your resources to benefit other ministries! Due to the high volume of submissions we receive, the process can take anywhere from 2 weeks to 12 months. Event, Training and Teaching submissions take significantly longer than games, video, etc.

Gatekeepers Review submission - March 23
1. Overwhelming yes, it moves on to editing. Woo-Hoo!
2. Gatekeepers are split, need to bring in a tie-breaker, it may move on, it may not. This can extend how long it stays in the initial gatekeeping period.
3. Gatekeepers say no, it gets rejected.
Gatekeepers accept and it moves to editing - April 1st
Game gets added to a schedule - April 16th
Editor Starts on Game - April 22nd
1. Whoops! Spelling errors! Sending email to author for fixes.
Fixes Received from author - April 24th
Edit Comes back to Game - April 28th
Game is released on DYM - May 4th
