Having trouble logging in, or resetting your password?
Fall 2020 Note:
You may have noticed that the DYM site got upgraded! As a feature of the new site we have upgraded security (woohoo!), and as a result we have to ask anyone with an existing DYM account* to update their password the FIRST time they login to this new site (or any of the DYM apps).
*This is the same login/password you use for Sidekick, Newsletter App, and Leader Training Library.
If YOU have an existing DYM account, here is how to update your password:
- Go to the "Forgot Password?" page
- Enter your DYM account email address
- Go find* the password reset email in your inbox (remember to check your spam or junk!) and click the link in that email to reset it.
*It may take a few minutes to arrive, so be patient. If you have waited for more than 10 minutes and you still do not see the email in your inbox or in spam you can do one of two things: 1) "whitelist" firstname.lastname@example.org and try again or 2) send us an email and we will reset your password manually.
Common issues you may run into
- The "forgot password" loop of death:
If you enter your email in the "forgot password" form and click submit multiple times (possibly because you are waiting on the email to arrive so you resubmit the form out of frustration) then that means multiple emails are on their way to you.
This becomes an issue because if you submit the form two times, then two emails are on their way, and when email #1 arrives it will actually have an "expired" link that will send you back to the original forgot password form.
You need to wait for the most recently submitted email for the "active" link that takes you to the correct page.
When in doubt you can always send us an email and we will reset your password manually. You may be able to fix the issue yourself more quickly than we can get back to you, so we wanted to give you this option.
- Multiple password reset attempts may result in getting temporarily locked out of your account.
Do not fear! You will be locked out for 30 minutes and can then attempt to reset your password again. If you are still unable to reset your password or log in after 30 minutes send us an email and we will reset your password manually.
