Sidekick in Zoom (Windows)

If you're trying to use Sidekick with Zoom on Windows, there is a bug with either Zoom or Windows that will show your controls to your audience if your windows overlap. There are a few ways we can get around fix this:

1. Try to shuffle windows around on your machine, being sure not to let the control window and display window overlap.
2. See if you can adjust your resolution to a higher resolution. This should give you more screen real-estate so your two Sidekick windows will not cover each other. You can do this by right-clicking on your Desktop and going to Display Preferences. See if you can have a higher resolution (things look smaller on your screen).
3. See if you can plug in an external monitor to use. You can use your TV at home or maybe borrow a monitor from work. This will give you a little more screen real-estate, thus allowing you to have your windows separated.
4. You can plug in your TV and use it behind you as you present, much like a gameshow. Your students will see your TV through your webcam and you can still have all of the controls on your computer!
