Sidekick Legacy is a Mac and PC presentation app made by youth ministers to do the things we wanted to do in our own ministry that ProPresenter and PowerPoint could not do. We wanted to be able to play fun, engaging games and have interactive elements in our ministries, yet make an app that is easy enough for anybody to use. Sidekick uses your second screen just like other presentation apps, and you can easily switch back-and-forth between them.
Sidekick Legacy what we call "builder", which are like different "apps" inside Sidekick Legacy that you can "build" files with. Each builder has it's own super powers:
- Wheel of Destiny is a fully customizable spinny wheel that can be used for people, prizes, or punishments.
- Survey Says is the easiest full-featured, Family-Feud style game builder. No more hacked PowerPoint files!
- Use Pick Me to drop in a list of names and pick a random (or not so random) winner!
- Leaderboard can be used at camp or each week in your program to track team scores.
With these builders you can easily create your own games, share them with others or download them from downloadyouthministry.com. You can customize the title graphics, backgrounds, odds, items, colors... just about anything with just a few clicks!
With Sidekick Legacy every game you've ever played/created/downloaded, are stored in your library. When you click on one of these files you're taken right into the file where you last left off. Changes are save automatically, so you can switch back-and-forth live.
Sidekick Legacy is free to download and try out, and comes with over 40 games pre-installed. It requires a Download Youth Ministry membership to remove the watermark.
